General information
Facilities were excellent. Our two boys aged 7 and 8 were in heaven with the water slides, pool, football pitch, table tennis and tennis and volleyball nets. They didn’t want to leave the site! The pool was clean and rarely busy, even in the summer holidays. Location is great - 10 minute walk to the supermarket, bakery and train station. Took the train into Lyon which was great for something different.
We rented bikes from the sister campsite in Trevoux and cycled along the river Saône which was beautiful and very good value for money. Had an amazing holiday and would recommend!
The site itself was great - there is loud evening entertainment a couple of nights a week in summer which doesn’t finish till 11.30/midnight, but we were far enough away that it didn’t bother us too much.
Accommodation review
Terrace outside was lovely to sit out and eat at, play games - even in the rain as the overhang was perfect! The showers was really good, nice to have hot water freely.
The chalet is more glamping than cottage - if that’s what you expect it’s fine. Very small, and the beds aren’t hugely comfortable, and hired sheets aren’t cotton- disposable microfibre type. I was glad I’d thrown in some pillowcases - would recommend taking your own bedding if possible. The kitchen is tiny - just two hobs and a microwave, (no oven) but it worked fine as we just bought suitable food.
