Camping Ile De La Comtesse

Murs Gelignieux

The most majestic of montains surround you on all sides. Lake d'Annecy or the Mont Blanc, and Chambery is not far... The Ile de la Comtesse is a haven of peace and serenity, on the bank of the lake. The activities on offer will appeal to all the family: The swimming pool and its solarium, the mini club for the children and a 'montain' of excursions, organised by qualified staff to initiate you to the joys of canoeing, rafting, canyoning or hydrospeed.

L’emplacement était bien exposé, bien ombragé et bien situé (proche des douches et de la réception). Le personnel était très accueillant.

Le bloc de béton servant de pied de parasol sur lequel ma fille a trébuché près de la piscine.

    General information

We stayed with a family of 4, 2 young kids. The kids went to mini club 5 days a week. They had fun. Last year we were also on the campsite and we think the mini club was more creative last year. We love the new swimmingpool! It's very nice shaped en spacious. Lots of animation on the campsite and good coorparation with partner companies. We went on a canoe trip, pick up and drop off at the campsite, very nice.

Not enough shade (parasols) at the pool. A lot of guests were claiming beds all day, even when they were not at the pool. The cleaning of sanitary building takes very long. Timing was during morning rush hour. Which meant that at cleaning time you had only 3 sit down toilets available for the whole campsite. The floors were not dry after cleaning, so after 2 minutes it was dirty already.

    Accommodation review

The pitch was large in size, very shady. Electricity nearby.

The pitch wasn't very flat so when it rained we had a little pool. It was right next to the sanitary building. It was noisy and sometimes smelly. It was the only building on the campsite with effectively 4 dishwash places. Sometimes I would wake up from the night cleaner.
